18/11/2015 New York.- The figurative nature of the lines and vibrant colors of Michael Ingui’s paintings explore rhythm, movement and energy. The exhibition will include a select number of pieces from the Black and White series as well as the Bridgeview series and more.
Michael Ingui has had solo shows in San Diego, a number of solo shows in NYC including a show hosted by One Art Space in 2012, and has been involved with many group shows and local artists groups. He was also one of 4 artists included in «The New Abstractionists VII» at the Walter Wickiser Gallery In 2008 Michael donated all of his paintings to benefit Starting Artists, a nonprofit community arts center that teaches media arts and entrepreneurship to Brooklyn’s teenagers.
Michael has won a Brooklyn Building Award for » Crescendo», a permanent massive etched and pigmented glass installation for the MTA Arts for Transit located at the 105th Street subway station on NYC’s «L» line(shown above right). Crescendo was completed as a collaboration with the artisans of fabricator Franz Mayor of Munich.
