Maria Elena Paredes nuestra representante en New York se hizo acreedora al Premio “Marco Polo” el 1 de diciembre 2015 en la ceremonia anual que celebra FIJET en ZAGREB, CROATIA con la finalidad de reconocer el trabajo de los escritores y periodistas de Turismo el mundo, esta vez lo obtuvo muy merecidamente por cierto, nuestra representa María Elena Paredes con un artículo sobre Budapest preciosa capital de Hungría, que publicáramos en TuristamagazineDestinos el 14 de setiembre del 2014, y fue considerado como el mejor reportaje del Congreso de Fijet del 2014, para nosotros es muy grato que nuestra distinguida colaboradora en New York haya sido galardonada con este reconocimiento.

Maria Elena Paredes, was born in Ecuador.
Maria moved permanently to New York City from her native Ecuador in 1974 after attending College in the USA and France.
She began working in the Travel Industry. Travel Agencies, International Airlines as well as a Professor in the Travel School. Maria joined Amadeus GDS in New York City in 1996; working in different teams including Account Develop Manager, Sales Support Manager, Customized Support and Education and Product Sales Specialist. Maria attended a Travel Writing course offered by the North America Travel Writers Association in Paris, France in 2001
Maria’s affiliations include The Latinamerican Association of Travel Writers «CLAPTUR»Hispanic Association of Journalists and Travel Writers «APHET» Fedaration International of Journalists and Travel Writers » FIJET» and «UIPT» Latinamerican Union of Professionals of Tourism.

Maria is correspondent of «Turista Magazine» published in Peru, which covers all Latin America.
Maria has been invited to participate as a presenter in many events including Conferences, Trade Shows, Seminars, Fairs related to the Travel and Tourism.
Her passion and experience in Travel &Tourism allows Maria to live her dream to Travel the World and meet its goal to communicate and be the ambassador to promote Tourism without Borders!!!
